With the exception of psychics, clairvoyants, soothsayers and members of the Trump administration, few people have the ability to foresee foreboding events. Indeed, premonition is a rare quality. On the other hand Postmonition — the ability to recognize past events, especially events that are disappointing or anxiety producing — is a trait that can be found in a significant portion of the population.

Postmonition is typically displayed in the verbal statements from those possessing this trait. For example, “I knew that was going to happen,” or “I told you that there would be consequences,” or “I sure saw that coming,” “Didn’t I tell you that was a bad idea,” are typical of statements uttered by postsentient subjects.

Postmonition, sometimes referred to as postsentients or postcognition, is distributed almost evenly across all races, genders, cultures, nationalities and geographic locations with a slightly higher occurrence in mothers of adolescent boys.

Usually considered a benign microdisorder, Postmonition is typically allowed to go untreated.
